Free Reading Assessment Test For Dyslexia Available Online For Home Use

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

AMHERST, MASSACHUSETTS - Educational Help, Inc. releases a home use version of their computer based reading assessment test for dyslexia and other reading difficulties. The free test can be found on a new website www.ReadingSuccessLab.com. This website also has information for parents on testing your child for dyslexia, the causes of dyslexia, strategies for improving reading comprehension, and working with your child's school.

The reading assessment software was created by software developer Jeremy Wise, Ph.D. and University of Massachusetts professor James M. Royer, Ph.D. Professor Royer is director of the University's Laboratory for the Assessment and Training of Academic Skills, and is an internationally recognized expert on the assessment of dyslexia and skill development to improve reading comprehension in dyslexic readers.

Using the Reading Success Lab free reading assessment test, a parent will receive a printout of their child's test results with recommendations regarding steps to take with the child's school, and recommendations regarding any further testing that may be indicated. More in-depth testing is available through the Reading Success Lab website.

The software for parent use is a home version of the Cognitive Aptitude Assessment Software, CAAS, developed for educational institutions in conducting assessments. Institutions using the software include Harvard University, Queensland University, Northwestern University, John Hopkins University, Center for Applied Linguistics, Academy For Educational Development, and Amherst Public Schools. The CAAS software is the core diagnostic and intervention tool for the Laboratory For Assessment And Training Of Academic Skills, University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Educational Help, Inc. was formed in 2002 to develop and market CAAS™ for the researcher, educator, parent, and homeschool markets. The primary use is the assessment of reading and math skills, and interventions to develop those skills.
